The Kilberry Inn offers an ideal base for exploring the natural beauties of Argyll and the area has something to offer everyone – historic monuments, great walking, cycling, championship golf courses, sailing, abundant wildlife, bird and otter watching, deserted beaches and fabulous sunsets.
Ferries to nearby islands are easily accessible; there are seafood and music festivals in Tarbert and Campbeltown as well as one of the largest yachting events in the UK, held in Tarbert each May.
The Bell Lawrie Scottish Series is the largest sailing event in the UK after Cowes Week, held every year over the late May Bank Holiday weekend for almost the last thirty years. Several hundred boats take part in the racing with plenty of on-shore entertainment in the evenings.
An integral part of Scottish life, malt whisky production is a fascinating subject. Enjoying the end product is a must for anyone visiting Scotland and in this area we are blessed with some of the most characteristic and enigmatic whiskies - we recommend you visit at least one malt whisky distillery during your stay with us.
Great forest walks are within easy reach of the Inn, with Ormsary, Torinturk, Loch Awe, Tarbert, Skipness and Tayvallich amongst our favourites. Some of the best beaches can be found at Kilberry Caves, Loch Stornoway, Loch Coalisport and down at Westport and Macrihanish.
Classical concerts are held at Crear, just a mile along the road, throughout the summer months. If you would like to tie in a visit to Kilberry, either for lunch or to stay, with a concert please book early as these weekends fill up very quickly.
Tickets for all events and concerts can be booked through www.crear.co.uk,
